Back from the dead.

Ok it wasn't that serious. As you know if you were following my tweets in my 6 month hiatus from blogging. I was mirco-blogging. But I am back, turning over a renewed leaf- and attempting to update more than every couple of months. Minor recap since my last lame blog post:

I moved- still live in the Des Moines area- now I am officially in Urbandale and I have lost a roommate. (He still lives nearby- but I have a place of my own now)

I had a dramatic holiday- as in I was dramatic and didn't enjoy Christmas eve through Christmas in the true Christian spirit - I need to make a change next year as I don't want to spend my Christmas feeling sorry for myself and crying on the phone. But all of my extended family Christmas's with the Johnson's and Fehling's were amazing!

I vacationed in Boston, Mass. - I have an amazing friend who manages to keep moving to amazing places I can visit/crash on her couch. We did the freedom trail and didn't let the cold weather get us down, and we had an EPIC and I mean EPIC day at Sam Adams Brewery. When my camera is charged again I will share so much more.

I got a promotion at work- Got the exciting news while on vacation- nothing like coming home to a pay raise!!!!

My work moved- we used to be at the Jordan Creek campus- now we are in downtown Des Moines. I love the change. So much more to see and do- the sky-walks are much more connected than I previously thought.

Things have been exciting and busy. Ok now it's your turn- do I still have any followers out there? what have you been up to?

oh, I am aware, more than aware...

Don't worry I get it. Really I do. I have sucked it up big big time the last month when it comes to blogging. I fact i have done a pretty sketch job at responding to communication of all kinds. Why oh why can't you all read my mental responses? But that is in the past, new leaf!

Just to catch everyone up, I moved to Des Moines in the middle of December, I have a roommate now, we are doing a pretty great job at not killing each other. It is fabulous to have someone to talk to everyday and share utilities with. Plus we won a new TV from our rental company!

I spent my time during the crappy weather around Christmas with the Kibbe Family. Emily and I had a great time telling knock knock jokes, playing BOO!, singing jingle bells, and reenacting Family Guy commercials. On the 26th I celebrated Christmas with the family and the stomach flu- I can definitely vague for the cleanliness of Greg and Chels' toilet! Everyone did a great job taking care of me and also trying to stay healthy. Sadly Dad became the next victim of the family flu- although it seemed to get less severe with every person it got passed to.

I am super sad I missed Christmas with the Fehling family. I thought it best not expose anyone else, trust me it was NOT fun being sick. Hopefully everyone else had a great time without me!

Work has been keeping me busy, my new assignment requires more problem solving, fun, yet frustrating like a game of sudoku all day long!

I plan on continuing my book section with Books of 2010, and a new feature call Wines of 2010. I am going to try to feature a wine under $15 every other week or so, with a rating system of some sort!

And finally I am very excited that new episodes of televison have returned- oh my goodness do I LOVE Friday Night Lights!

Dear Relatives it turns out I am NOT dead....

So really, for reals. Not Dead. Just busy. I have a lovely little niece I promised to make a Christmas stocking, and lo and behold the Christmas season is upon us. You totally have to work super hard when you wait until late October to start. Hence the lack of blogging. As you can see I am approaching the realm of finishing, technically all of the major figures are done. I have to fill in the calendar (on Santa's right) and do the top and bottom, and back stitching. I am hoping for a delivery date of Dallas's B-day. That may be a little ambitious. But lets shoot for the stars here. If you see me today, no doubt this is what I will be working on. And for the info of any talented cross-stitchers out there, it still contains no mistakes! All colors and shapes exactly where they are supposed to be. Which is a complete first for me.

Starz decided it was christmas....

Last night I was perusing the channels, secretly hoping to be able to watch- like the whole- Halloween trilogy. Alas I wasn't that fortunate. But I did notice that one of my starz channels decided it was Christmas already and was playing "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" the Jim Carrey version. This was disappointing to me, I mean technically it was still Halloween, I get that as a whole, America loves to skip over Thanksgiving, but I mean come on, it was still October. Really. To be fair for months, like super long months, Starz has been playing a movie called "This Christmas" but as far as I could tell it was a newer release. I can say I am disappointed in the skip over. Starz better start playing some of the several excellent, Turkey Day themed movies pronto!
